Education as Mission

The Marist Brothers define education not merely as schooling, but as an act of faith — a lived encounter with the Gospel that forms the whole person in virtue, knowledge, and compassion.

Faith Formation

Every Marist school is a community of faith. Students encounter Christ through liturgy, service projects, religious instruction, and the lived witness of dedicated brothers and lay educators.

Academic Excellence

From primary schools to universities, Marist institutions uphold rigorous academic standards while nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning inspired by Mary's example.

Solidarity with the Poor

Following Champagnat's option for the poor, Marist schools prioritize access for marginalized youth, running scholarship programs, evening schools, and community outreach initiatives across all sectors.

Youth Accompaniment

Beyond academics, Marist educators walk alongside young people in their personal, spiritual, and vocational journeys — embodying the maternal spirit of Mary through pastoral care and mentorship.

Ecology & Integral Care

Inspired by Laudato Si', Marist schools integrate ecological literacy into their curriculum — forming students as responsible stewards of creation for tomorrow's world.

Lay Collaboration

Today's Marist school thrives through the partnership of Brothers and laypersons sharing a common charism. Lay Marists, parents, alumni, and volunteers co-create a vibrant Marist educational community.

"The Marist school is a community of Gospel values where young people grow in wisdom, age, and grace — nurtured by educators who see in every child the face of Christ."

Marist Global Mission

Founded in 1817 in La Valla, France, by St. Marcellin Champagnat, the Congregation of the Marist Brothers was born with a single, urgent mission: to make Jesus known and loved among the poor and uneducated youth of rural France. That same fire now burns on every continent.

The Marist Brothers' global mission is animated by the Champagnat Global vision — a worldwide family committed to transforming lives, promoting justice, and educating the whole person. In East Asia, this mission finds expression in schools, non-formal education centers, formation houses, and community missions reaching some of the most vulnerable populations in the region.

Option for the Poor & Vulnerable

Marist Brothers preferentially serve the marginalized — from displaced refugees to impoverished rural communities — in fidelity to Champagnat's founding vision.

Evangelization through Education

Schools are not merely academic institutions but instruments of the New Evangelization — spaces where young people encounter the living Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Marian Spirituality

As Marists, the Brothers live and minister under Mary's maternal guidance — modeling the simplicity, humility, and loving care she showed in nurturing the infant Jesus.
