What is Marist Kidapawan?

A welcoming and faith-filled home.

Rooted in Prayer

Rooted in prayer, fraternity, and apostolic zeal, the Marist Kidapawan Community embodies the Marist values of Presence, Simplicity, Family Spirit, Love of Work, and Following in the Way of Mary. Through their shared life, the Brothers strive to create a welcoming and faith-filled home where mutual support, joy, and a deep commitment to the Gospel are nurtured. Their life together reflects the dream of Saint Marcellin Champagnat, who envisioned communities of Brothers living in simplicity and fraternity while accompanying young people with compassion and hope.

Legacy of Champagnat

Faithful to the legacy of Saint Marcellin Champagnat and guided by Mary, our Good Mother and Ordinary Resource, the Brothers of the Marist Kidapawan Community continue to witness to the beauty of consecrated life and the transformative power of education. Their presence among the young and their commitment to the Marist mission remain a source of hope and inspiration for the Church and society.

Today, the Marist Kidapawan Community stands as a vibrant expression of the Marist charism in Mindanao—a community of Brothers united in prayer, fraternity, and mission, joyfully serving the educational ministry of Notre Dame of Kidapawan College and making Jesus Christ known and loved in the way of Mary.

Notre Dame of Kidapawan College

The primary apostolic ministry of the Marist Kidapawan Community is its service to Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC), one of the leading Catholic educational institutions in Mindanao. Through their involvement in educational leadership, pastoral animation, values formation, and accompaniment of students and educators, the Brothers collaborate closely with lay partners in carrying out the mission of Catholic and Marist education. In the spirit of Champagnat, they seek to form not only competent learners but also persons of faith, integrity, and service who will contribute to the transformation of society.

Pastoral Initiatives

Beyond the school setting, the Brothers actively participate in the life of the local Church and engage in various pastoral and social initiatives that respond to the needs of the community. Through their ministry, they seek to become instruments of reconciliation, solidarity, and hope, fostering a culture of peace and dialogue among peoples of diverse backgrounds.
