Community & Mission

The Marist Marbel Community, located in Koronadal City (formerly known as Marbel), South Cotabato, Philippines, is one of the religious communities of the Marist East Asia Province where Marist Brothers live together in fraternity and carry out their apostolic mission inspired by the charism of Saint Marcellin Champagnat. United in prayer, community life, and mission, the Brothers strive to make Jesus Christ known and loved in the way of Mary, especially among children and young people, with a particular preference for those who are poor and most in need.

Values & Spirit

Rooted in the Gospel and nourished by the Marist values of Presence, Simplicity, Family Spirit, Love of Work, and Following in the Way of Mary, the Marist Marbel Community seeks to create a home characterized by fraternity, hospitality, and joyful witness. Through their shared life, the Brothers endeavor to reflect the spirit of the first Marist community at l’Hermitage, where prayer, mutual support, and missionary zeal formed the foundation of their life together.

Active Ministry

The Marist Marbel Community actively participates in the educational, pastoral, and social ministries entrusted to the Marist East Asia Province. In collaboration with lay Marists and partners in mission, the Brothers accompany young people, families, and communities through programs that promote faith formation, leadership development, social responsibility, and integral human development. Their presence at Notre Dame of Marbel University seeks to be a sign of hope and compassion, embodying the Marist commitment to serve with humility and simplicity.
