Scholasticate

Growing in Wisdom, Service, and Marist Identity

After professing first vows in the Novitiate, young Brothers enter the Scholasticate — a multi-year phase of ongoing formation that integrates academic preparation, apostolic experience, and continued spiritual growth.

Scholastics pursue university studies in education, theology, or related fields while living in a formation community and engaging in supervised apostolic work, usually in Marist schools or youth ministries. This phase prepares them for a lifetime of mission in the Marist spirit.
