The Historic Mother School of the Marist Brothers in the Philippines!

In 1948, the first four American Marist Brothers—Maurus James, Herbert Daniel, Peter Leonard, and Joseph Damian—arrived in Cotabato at the invitation of Bishop Joseph Mongeau, OMI. They established Notre Dame of Cotabato as the very first Marist institution in Asia.

For nearly eight decades, NDC has remained a beacon of academic rigor, Christian brotherhood, and peaceful interreligious harmony where Christian, Muslim, and Indigenous scholars learn together in mutual respect and love.
